By signing up as a member you agree that:
- You wholly support our aim of helping to stop Reform UK/Restore/Badenoch’s Conservatives from winning power by demonstrating that common ground exists through courteous conversation and the use of the democracy meter.
- You will uphold Common Ground’s core objective above and our progressive values
- You and your group are operating as an independent entity and wholly responsible and liable for the activities of your group.
- You will not share the link to the membership sign-up without the prior consent of CG’s executive team
- You will not alter or share any of our documentation without prior consent
- You will ensure someone in your team is monitoring the WhatsApp Democracy Meter questions channel
- You will submit photos of your boards to go on the central resource website, suitably labelled and dated
- You will not use our materials and branding in connection with any political party. No material or branding to be used with any group that has objectives that are in opposition to our own or where any element of sharing has not been agreed.
- You will ensure that your activities and spending comply with electoral law. (we will issue guidance as to whether you will need to register as a non-party campaigner in the event of a general election)
- You accept responsibility for your own fund-raising and will not sell goods and/or services on the street that use our brand.
- You will not do anything under the Common Ground name/branding that could bring CG into disrepute.
- You understand that failure to comply could result in the withdrawal of permission to use the Common Ground brand and materials and access to our communications.
This agreement is, inevitably, subject to change as we evolve. In the event that it does change, members will be notified and will need to affirm their agreement.
